Then move on to the outside, check the outside of your home for any cracks, damage or small holes that could be a possible entry point for pests.
Summer Pest Control Tip #2 Eliminate all Standing Water
The next step to take to keep summer pests away is to eliminate any standing water you may have in your yard. Standing water can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other pests alike. You can start by closely surveying your property and identifying any water collection points. These can be anything from birdbaths, patio furniture that hasn’t been dried out, sports equipment, toys and anything that could hold water. Emptying these regularly or bringing them inside after use can help reduce the mosquitoes in your backyard.
If you notice water tends to collect in certain parts of your yard without cause, you may have a larger issue with water drainage and should consider consulting a lawn maintenance professional.

The final summer pest control tip is maintaining your yard! And while this seems like a logical step, it can always be the most difficult to execute regularly.
