If you are keeping trash in a spot where there is likely to be easy access to wildlife, you will attract that animal into your yard. However, if you keep it locked away so that no animal can get to it, there is a lessened chance that the wildlife in your neighbourhood will target your home.

Ultimately, if there is no way for pests to get in, then you’re not going to have any. There are many ways for pests to get into your home, even if the doors and windows are closed. By identifying common problem areas, like the front entrance, you can take the steps to fix it, like replacing the weather stripping or fixing small holes in the walls.
