8 Things You Can Do This Weekend to Stop Ants Before They Start

1. Pull mulch back from the foundation

Create a 15–30cm gap between landscape mulch and your foundation walls. Replace mulch with gravel in this zone if possible. This eliminates the moisture bridge that ants — especially pavement ants — use to nest right next to your house.
